Another amazing #transformation The project requi Another amazing #transformation The project required a full strip out of services, fixtures, fittings and finishes to the commercial kitchen within the main building and the installation of a new fully fitted domestic style kitchen for resident’s use
The new kitchen was designed to provide a modern, inviting and practical space. The materials and finishes are easy to maintain; integrated appliances and handless cupboard doors reduce areas where dirt can build up and new modern, low energy LED lighting creates a bright and inviting space. Two oven/hob stations enable more than one resident to cook at a time. The new flooring is non-slip wood effect vinyl and whiterock to all walls provides cleanable surfaces.
Attention to detail in the design; co-ordinating stainless steel plinths, extractors, hob splashbacks and laundry shelf and chrome trims to the new washing machine and tumble dryer create a ‘high-end’ look residents can be take pride in using. #refurbished #explore

Swipe to see before - what a #transformation The Swipe to see before - what a #transformation The first floor shower room within the main building at had reached the end of its life and required replacement. The facilities were outdated and the shower areas poorly designed. Within each shower area users had to navigate a step up in the middle of the floor, then access the shower cubicle on the raised section through a narrow space, making them very difficult to use. The shower areas did not provide anywhere for users to change or store clothes when showering.

The facilities were fully refurbished – wall tiling was replaced with hygienic whiterock sheeting, toilet cubicles and vanity units were replaced including new sanitaryware and duct panels behind the back-to-wall WC’s.
Two fully enclosed shower/changing areas were created by building new partition walls. The shower areas were installed on one level by moving the raised step to the door opening, making them much easier to use. The showers areas are now full wetrooms with sealed flooring and flush floor gulleys – so users are not restricted to a traditional shower cubicle. This also reduces areas where dirt can build up and makes maintenance and cleaning easier. A bench seat provides somewhere for users to change and store clothes and a solid grade laminate panel provides protection from shower spray and clearly defines the shower and changing areas.
The new finishes provide a very contemporary feel and the improved design of the shower areas ensure the space is both practical and welcoming for residents to use.
